What is the HECAS?

Since 2001, the Hanseatic Engineering & Consulting Association in short HECAS has been the most important trigger for the Northern Germany aviation locations. The association, consisting of leading service providers in the aerospace industry is active in the recording of these success stories.

HECAS represents the interests of well over 5500 highly qualified aerospace specialists and through its lobbying in the area of economic affairs and employment, is concerned not only with the preservation of work opportunities, but also in many things that relate to development in highly interesting technological areas. The association regularly involves itself together with the Federal Employment Office, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, the Chamber of Trade and Commerce and especially with the Hamburger Hochschulen, in the realisation of diverse educational and advanced training activities.

All the well known suppliers and sub-contractors of the aviation industry work with the customers of the association members. This networked engineering know-how of the HECAS member companies – with trend setting core competence in the areas of Interiors, Structure, Mechanical and electrical systems and documentation – has become an essential component of the development work carried out by those many partners in the aviation and aeronautical industry.

You can understand HECAS a Brain-Pool from which the primary customers of the Aviation industry can profit, and additionally, a Brain-Pool from which the members through an informal network can also profit. Noteworthy are the lean and transparent organisations which enable the member companies to deliver projects in an innovative, integrative and effective manner.
